Fiend got into light re-hab. I decided to go with a pedestal step on the sink for adjustability. Would 2 x SSTs mean I could use around half of the battery power “within regulation”? Now I got a fully powered SST light, which is now the brightest light in my collection, but I doubt that it will be more than a seldom used demo light. The first can I did using this method didn’t leak.

Bookmarks Bookmarks Digg del. The flooding prompted me to be a bit more careful in the construction and testing of the battery canister, and one of the results was that I built a jig specifically to guide the drill for holes for the latches How long would that be?
To do this, I dropped guide widhtel off the center of the main bore, on three sides of the block.
Math not my strong point But why are there several lines and not only one? Joining is quick and easy. Potting can 99a done with Arctic Alumina for example.

Don’t know if the price is right, but if you are into aspherics, might be worth looking at. The regulation is a little bit complex so that simple pwm won’t work.
I used it to replace the faulty driver of a Trustfire ST light.

Discussion in ‘ Making your own Gear ‘ started by naimisDec 18, Lucky for me, I found a block of aluminum in dre machine shop’s discard pile that was not only big enough to fit the 2″ PVC fittings I’ve been using, but it also had a hole bored in it already that derr the perfect diameter, if not quite 9z enough.
The intent is to provide a dive light suitable switch for the common power supplied used by the mag lite hackers. Hopefully you can see in the pictures, but what I’ve done is bore out a hole in 9q aluminum block to fit a 2″ PVC coupling plus a little bit extra, the ring that can be seen on the caps in the photos.

I’m back into trying to build an SST 9A lumen LED based dive light, thanks to the industrious folks over on candlepowerforums specifically, Der Wichtel, who has put together a 9A driver. Probably best page about diving lights.
The hint using aluminiumoxid mixed with epoxy is probably good, but I had no clue where to get aluminiumoxid quickly without a couple of days “delay”.
So I used the classic approach: Datasheet let me know if there is something unclear or somthing I should add. How you done with heat manegment? More information can be found in the datasheet: Can I drive three or four SSTs at the same time or just one?
